JYSK FRANCHISE is 100 percent owned by JYSK GROUP. JYSK FRANCHISE differs from JYSK NORDIC based on the legal conditions under which the stores operate. Where stores in JYSK NORDIC are operated directly by JYSK, JYSK FRANCHISE is based on a contractual collaboration between the franchiser, JYSK, which owns a business concept and a franchisee. The rights to the business concept are bought by the franchisee that will work independently with the business concept.

The first JYSK FRANCHISE store was opened in 1984 in Nuuk, Greenland. So far there are JYSK FRANCHISE stores in 25 countries: Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Iceland, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Armenia, Indonesia, Estonia, Vietnam, Malta, Georgia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Moldova, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Cyprus and Azerbaijan.
