After this summer, the Made in HimmerLand golf tournament continues with the company GolfPromote
After this summer’s DP World Tour golf tournament in Himmerland, the popular event will continue in a new setup under a new name.
This summer, the foundation ‘Fonden Made in Denmark Golf’ will host the 9th Made in HimmerLand golf tournament and will hereafter pass the torch to the company GolfPromote. Following this summer’s edition in Himmerland, Denmark’s largest recurring sports event will be hosted different places in the country under a new name.
“In HimmerLand, we are very excited about hosting the 9th Made in HimmerLand-tournament in July which will also be the last of its kind to take place here with us. We are looking forward to the fantastic event it will undoubtedly be and are happy to pass on the golf tournament to other parts of the country. It is and has been an enormous pleasure to host Made in HimmerLand,” says CEO of HimmerLand Resort, Mette Ravn.
After Made in HimmerLand in Gatten in Northern Jutland this summer, the tournament will be continued by the company GolfPromote, which will run and develop the sports event on its own going forward.
”The years in HimmerLand have been amazing and we are very grateful for the cooperation with Lars Larsen Group and Fonden Made in Denmark Golf – it would never have been possible without them. But we are also pleased to have signed a new agreement with DP World Tour and we are excited to stand on our own feet. We have a positive dialogue with several clubs and municipalities regarding the future and look forward to share more at Made in HimmerLand in July. Right now, we are fully focused on giving Made in HimmerLand a grand finale,” says CEO of GolfPromote, Flemming Astrup.

Made in HimmerLand will be played from the 6th to 9th of July 2023, where the elite of European golf as well as the top players of Denmark are playing for a cash prize of DKK 22 million. Spectators can also look forward to an expanded tent- and activity area with different food stands, displays, and concerts after the tournaments.
Made in HimmerLand has been played since 2014 and is a part of the DP World Tour. During the years, almost 500.000 people have guested the tournament, where cash prizes of close to DKK 150 million have been awarded.
